Engineering new possibilities
in biological systems.

Investigating protease inhibitors, sustained release and the longevity of fibrin-based systems.

Controlling fibrin longevity

Fibrin-based systems use blood plasma-derived proteins in surgical sealants, hemostasis and tissue engineering. Our work explores protease inhibitors and sustained release to extend the persistence of fibrin clots and scaffolds.
